1. Power and Range

The BMW iX3 is equipped with BMW's fifth-generation eDrive electric drive technology, offering both single-motor and dual-motor all-wheel-drive versions. With a maximum power output of 210kW (286 hp) and peak torque of 400 N·m, it accelerates from 0-100km/h in 6.8 seconds. Powered by an 80kWh nickel-cobalt-manganese (NCM) battery pack supplied by CATL, it achieves a CLTC-rated range of approximately 550 km. Fast charging supports 100 km of range in 10 minutes, with a 30%-80% charge taking 30 minutes.

2. Design and Space

The iX3 retains the classic BMW X3 silhouette while integrating electric-specific elements, such as a closed kidney grille, blue accent strips, and aerodynamic wheels. Inside, it features a standard 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster and 12.3-inch central touchscreen paired with BMW’s iDrive 7.0 system, retaining physical controls for key functions. The interior uses Sensatec synthetic leather and eco-friendly materials. The battery is mounted flat under the chassis, resulting in a slightly raised rear floor; cargo space measures 510L.

3. Smart Technology

The iX3 comes with Driving Assistant Professional, offering L2+ features like full-speed adaptive cruise control, lane centering, lane change assist, and automatic parking. It also supports remote smartphone control (for charging management and pre-starting the air conditioning), OTA software updates, and CarPlay/CarLife connectivity. A Harman Kardon 16-speaker sound system is standard.

4. Handling and Safety

Staying true to BMW’s sporty DNA, the iX3 features a rear-wheel-drive layout and precise steering, balancing comfort and agility. The battery pack is encased in an aluminum shell with crash-resistant structures, achieving IP67 water and dust resistance, and has undergone rigorous extreme-weather testing. It comes with an 8-year/160,000 km battery warranty for peace of mind.
